Walking duration: Approximately 25 minutes. This is our personal favourite piazza in Rome and we often find there to be many artists and craftspeople in the evening. Sometimes with lively busker entertainment too.

  8. Dinner: For dinner, there are several great restaurants around Piazza Navona that offer a variety of Italian and international cuisines.

Day 2:

  1. Colosseum: Start your day by visiting the Colosseum. Explore the ancient amphitheater and learn about its history. Distance: Around 2.5 kilometers. Walking duration: Approximately 30 minutes. Top tip - book your tickets for the type of tour you want to do at the Colesseum far in advance of your trip to skip the line and get the experience you want.

  2. Roman Forum: After the Colosseum, visit the Roman Forum, located nearby. Explore the archaeological site and imagine life in ancient Rome. Distance: Within the Colosseum area.

  3. Lunch: There are several restaurants and cafes near the Colosseum and Roman Forum where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. The further from the actual site you are, the more affordable and arguably more authentic the cuisine becomes.

  4. Capitoline Hill: Walk from the Roman Forum to Capitoline Hill. Admire the stunning views of the city and visit the Capitoline Museums. Distance: Around 0.7 kilometers. Walking duration: Approximately 10 minutes.

  5. Pantheon: From Capitoline Hill, walk to the Pantheon. Marvel at the impressive architecture and explore the interior of this ancient Roman temple. Distance: Around 0.8 kilometers. Walking duration: Approximately 10 minutes.

  6. Dinner: For dinner, you can find a variety of restaurants near the Pantheon that offer both traditional Roman dishes and international cuisine. Pay in Euros for all dining and all major credit cards are accepted. Exchange your home currency for small local bills in Euro to have cash on hand to tip street performers, or buy artisan crafts from street vendors.

Please note that walking durations and distances are approximate and can vary depending on walking speed and route choices. It's always a good idea to have a map or use a navigation app to help navigate through the city.
