November to February is called the green season in the Kalahari for good reason. Fresh grazing means an influx of migrating animals as well as their new offspring. With flood waters receding despite it being the beginning of the rainy season, vast parts of the Okavango Delta offer terrific viewing opportunities.

April to May is generally considered to be one of the best times to go on safari, as rains are on the way out of Southern Africa. Attractive rates and fewer visitors make for an enhanced experience right through to September. You may get closer to those animals you most want to see than you had dreamed possible.
