Sandals resorts are adults-only and designed for travellers to enjoy a romantic holiday for two. While we can help you can plan your visit with a friend or relative, please note every room only has one bed, no sofa beds or pull out couches, and is designed for only two adults. Halcyon Beach

Sandals Halcyon Beach is a smaller and quieter resort in Saint Lucia, as it is not as large as the other resorts. With newly added room choices, such as, the Joli Beachfront Walkout Butler Suite with Private Pool, there are many renovated and contemporary room choices. Our travellers say this resort is best for those looking to unwind and enjoy a relaxing vacation. Make Sandals Halcyon your best vacation ever if you are looking to enjoy great beachfront dining. Plan to spend most of your time with your partner and take advantage of the superb service that comes with a more cozy and intimate resort. On your first full day at this resort, be sure to book your dinner reservations with the culinary desk as they can fill up fast.

Note too that the Rondoval rooms are newly built, so they have a really modern construction and beautiful design, however they are located on a main road in a busy area, so there can be some road noise, which could be distracting if you want to spend time in your private backyard and pool area.

This particular beach is not favourable for swimming. The water is more murky and If you are a beach swimmer, definitely choose a different resort in St Lucia.

Grande St Lucian

As the name implies, Sandals Grande St Lucian is the largest of the resorts on the island with 311 rooms. One of our favourites is the Beachfront Grande Rondoval Butler Suite with Private Pool Sanctuary. This resort has several rondovals, and some being more affordable without the beachfront location. These suites are equally spacious and designed for a great stay representing an opportunity for savings on your holiday.

This resort is well known for it’s Overwater Bungalows. There are exactly nine, identical Overwater Honeymoon Butler Bungalows. We’re able book this suite for you complete with 5 star butler service and all the pampering you desire. We recommend that you book your over-the-water bungalow at least 18 months in advance. The earliest booking is approximately three years in advance and only a small deposit is required. Do you know that you can book a split stay? This is when you book one room for the first three or four nights of your vacation and then stay in an upgraded room, perhaps an Over-the-water Bungalow for the final three or four nights of your holiday. Our favourite restaurant at this resort is Gordon’s, as we loved dining outdoors at the water’s edge. We even saw a Spotted Eagle Ray in the water during dinner!

Stay at this resort if you wish to golf often, green fees are complimentary and this resort is the closest to the golf course. You can golf from all the resorts, but the Grande St. Lucian is closer by 40 minutes; a shorter drive means you have more time to relax after your round. This resort also offers a zero-entry pool, for those guests who would find this helpful.

Regency La Toc

This resort is closest to the airport and has a long white sand beach. The water can be rough, and sometimes a red flag meaning that you should not swim in the ocean. One of our favourite room categories is the Oceanfront Two-Story One Bedroom Butler Villa with Private Pool. We enjoyed our Emerald Honeymoon Oceanview room. Choose this resort if you want the shortest drive possible to a Sandals resort in Saint Lucia. This way you avoid the snarl of traffic in Castries which otherwise could possibly add 30-45 additional minutes of driving time. The golf course at this resort is permanently closed, as the hotel works to add additional suites to be opened shortly.

Take a break from the lively atmosphere of this resort by visiting the Red Lane Spa. This beautiful world class spa is the perfect respite from the many activities available to you and your travel companion.

Sandals Regency La Toc is not ideal for people with mobility issues, have trouble walking, or struggle with hills or distances. This resort is steep and especially in the heat of the warmer months. If you use a walker, cane, wheelchair, or other mobility devices, we encourage you to ask us if this resort may be right for you, and if we can make any specific recommendations for choice of room or suite based on your individual needs.

From this resort, our recommended excursion is the Dune Buggy and Zipline. We loved it because you can drive your own two passenger vehicle, immerse yourself in the tree canopy of this lush island and have a dip in a waterfall, all in one afternoon. This is the perfect single excursion to reserve in advance if you only want to spend one day adventuring away from the resort.

Since pool space is at a premium at this resort, given the sometimes rough beach conditions, a room with a butler is important, or a room with a private pool, so that you’re not up too early to have to snag a chair with somewhere shady to sit. A butler isn’t required, but it may be challenging to find a pool chair you like if you’re not an early riser.

Remember, the perfect all-inclusive resort for you and your partner may not be the ideal choice for another couple.
